No, i have a 50

GFCI's are really temperamental. They are this way for a reason. It seems like you have something that is tripping this. I would try using a regular 50 amp breaker, and then see what happens. You can also try process of elimination. Shut everything down, then bring power up - one item/circuit, appliance, etc. at a time. This will narrow down your problem. Also, if you have a refrig/freezer on this GFCI, this could be tripping it too. Any appliance, etc. that has a motor - usually leaks to ground just enough for the GFCI breaker to sense, and trip it. I hope some of these solution's will help you...Good Luck!

Ground Fault circuit Breaker trips each time a load is applied

The most likely causes in their order of probability are: 1) water somewhere in the circuit causing the hot wire to ground; 2) a legitimate trip caused by a defect in a device plugged into the circuit; and 3) a defective GFCI breaker. In the first case, wait until it has been dry for about a week and see if it trips. In the second case, make sure there is nothing plugged into the circuit and try resetting. In the third case go ahead and put the regular breaker in, then put a GFCI outlet into the first box downstream from the breaker. If installed according to the directions, that outlet should protect all of the outlets downstream.

Swimming pool light on a gfi breaker

It won't take much to trip the GFI. Have you tried to dry the fixture out completely? Use a blow dryer and remove any moisture. Also, remove the light and cap the wires and try it if you can, it might be the wire. If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/craig_3fa289bf857b1a3c

How to reset Cutler Hammer 1 pole 15 Amp

Turn handle to off position and then back on. Same as any other breaker. The red test button can be pressed which will trip breaker. If it trips immediately, unplug all devices on circuit and try to reset. Reconnect each device and see which trips breaker. If this goes to outdoor receptacle, check behind cover for moisture.

I just tested the breaker and it won't reset. I

yes. If you still have the fault it will not reset. Disconnect the out going wire to isolate the breaker and try again. If it still doesn't reset then the GFCI breaker is bad and needs to be replaced. Hope this helps you, Jeepfxr

Can I replace a CEB CU/AL QB breaker with a QBH CU one?

nope breaker has to be rated for the aluminum wiring. if your home is wired with al wiring u need to be really worried bout that. it becomes a fire hazard awhile. should only use al for larger size wires and personally I wouldn't do that either

I have an old cutler hammer breaker box 30 amp 125/250 250v 3w s/n that hooks up to my dryer. The switch lever thing is stuck in the off position, is this just needing the fuses replaced?

You have provided minimul information but here goes. If the lever is stuck, there must be some reason but I see no way it is electrical. Locking or "sticking" of the lever is strictly mechanical. Now, you mentioned "Fuses" if the box is that old, perhaps you should consider replacing it with a newer version. It is my assumption this box is installed as a service disconnect that is used to turn off the power when service to the equipment is required. Hardly and (if any) full size dryers operate on only 30 Amps. I suggest that if you install a newer box, that you insure your breaker and wiring are of sufficient Amperage to handle modern equipment.

Have a cutler-hammer 210 responder drive inside the box is a relay marked NJ it is going bad how do I find the # to replace it THANKS

There should be information on the relay itself. Boettchers in Beloit handle Cutler Hammer (Eaton) products. You may be able to pull the relay and take it to them for an exact replacement.
