Lionel 11000 Holiday Tradition Express Train Set Questions & Answers
Remote is not working for my Lionel Holiday Tradition Express Train with new batteries. Any suggestions?
I rewired my train this weekend..it now works on my outdoor setup....I found that the circuit board inside the engine had a blown capacitor and the power transitor was fried. I by passed the engine board found that it only would run backwards....went into the tender and taped into the power from tack bypassing the rectifer... By the way the engine does not start up when one uses the remote...there is a 20 second delay before starting
Will not go forward, but will go reverse
Diagnostic: Poor connection/conduction between carbon brushes and rails.
Solution: Clean carbon brushes and metal rails with solvent. If problem persists you must need to expand the inner carbon brushes' coil spring from the second car.
The train is not responding to the remote.
I had a similar problem with my 11000 Holiday Tradition Express. I cleaned the track with an eraser (pencil-type) and then used a soft cloth to clean any possible residue. After doing this twice, my train is now running.
On my Lionel Holiday Tradition
the train does not run in daylight.....when one places the remote over the engine protecting the senor from sun the engine will start 10seconds after the sounds...I was very disappointed that it would not run in daylight. I'm looking for a method to rewire the system to work in daylight....maybe bypassing the control card.
Lionel 313 bascule bridge
It sounds like the counterbalance spring is loose or disconnected. I would rather add weight to the counterweight box to take some load off of the motor...Use fishing sinkers, one or two rolls of pennies or equivalent. Also do not overtighten the spring you will warp the base of the bridge.
I just got a postwar

Constraints about making a Jaws of Life model with cardboard, split pins, syringes and plastic tubing.
Question edited for clarity, otherwise this question makes no sense. I presume you mean a MODEL of the Jaws of Life.
Large capacity syringe powering a small capacity syringe with give a significant pressure advantage. The only issue I can think of is the the friction of the secondary piston may be too sticky on the wall of the smaller syringe but if you fill the system with water, you will get true hydraulic results because air can be compressed but water can't

I need 4 springs for under blades for a pro tech cs6007 contrator series planer
you can find replacement blades (also known as knives) made from a special V2 alloy (high-speed steel) on the MyWoodcutters website. Each set includes 3 HSS blades specifically designed for the CS 6007 model. The cost for a set of 3 blades is $61.50
to replace the springs for the under blades, I recommend checking with a local hardware store or contacting ProTech directly to inquire about availability..
