Yes, the R80 has an air cooled engine and may also have a oil cooler to help out with cooling.

First, how do you know the engine is hot beyond what is considered normal? Do you have an oil temp guage? Air leaks around the head and carb connection can make the engine run lean which will contribute to excess heat and poor performance. Check for cracked/hard rubber hose between the carb and headand replace with new if required.

Ride the bike and enjoy it.... just make it a point to shut the engine off if you are stuck in stopped traffic for a period of time longer than 10-15 minutes.

Using a good quality oil in these bikes is also a good idea.

Good Luck!

I have a 24hp vtwin B&S engine. I need to know whether to make the valve adjustment with the engine hot or cold. Would please answer with this information? Thank you.

you can set the clearances cold but the measurements will be .002" bigger to allow for valve stem length increase when hot
example --a setting of .012" hot will be .014" cold
Hot is best as the stems do not always expand uniformly so valves in one engine may expand more or less in another engine
always check the clearance when hot
B&S engines are noted for valve stem stretch for a period from new so a regular monitoring of the hot clearance is a good idea ( check say every 20 hours operation for the first few periods until the clearance remains steady)

Engine coolant hot

This would refer to the coolant within your engine and radiator, in short your being told your engine is running hot. This should be corrected ASAP before damage occurs to the engine.
I hope this may have helped,

Cleaned complete machine now wont start

the starter itself should ground to the engine and the engine should ground to the battery you should trace back the ground lead from the battery to the engine if that is good use a light tester or volt meter to check your hot wire to the starter and your other hot wire from the solenoid to the switch to the battery although that should be good if you can jump it at the terminals if nothing else you can always connect a new hot wire from the switch to the solenoid if that doesn't work replace the solenoid itself
