I have a 2009 kawasaki klx250s. After starting the bike and warming it up to the recommended time in the manual as soon as i go to accelerate the bike it hesitates and the rpm's will back down sooo far to pretty much nothing. After the bike has been warmed up from a ride it won't do it anymore, just seems to happen on start up after initial warm-up. Also at just idle... by hitting the accelerator the bike will stall right out. I have taken it into my dealer and they took the carb off and cleaned/checked it got the bike back wasn't doing it then a couple days later i went to ride it and the problem came back like mentioned above. I have changed my spark plug as well. What could it be, electrical? carb still?

Just a thought, it might be more like the choke, slow speed jet, or high speed jet mixing with choke. It will run, but will run rich, and possibly cough. I don't even let the bike warm up, I just hit the road, and a lot of times I get 10 miles down the road and realize that the choke is still on. Oops. I had a KLR 250, totally different bike, about 200HP difference. I couldn't believe how fast the klx is compared to the klr. Hope this helps.

Fuel pump (if you have one) weak or has trash that can move . intermitten short, make sure all fuses are tight not just look good. Probably a re-occuring problem with trash or water in fuel.(fill fuel from clean fuel can ) If it was trash and cleaning carbs made a difference, clean tank filter and lines too.

My Kawasaki zx6r 2009 keeps displaying f1 and with a flashing red light. The bike runs fine. Sometimes shuts off while warming up. how do I fix it?

it actually means fault indicator and doesn't deal solely with the fuel injection.

put the key in the ignition and turn it on, but don't start the bike. use the mode button to go to the odometer display, then hold the mode button down for 2 seconds. the code should be displayed.

come back when you have the code

What type of coolant do I use in my Kawasaki klx250s yr 2009

We used to buy premix from the dealer, although now I just use a 50/50 mix of Halfords 500ML coolant and water.

2009 Kawasaki KLX 250 will not go into gear

1. Yes, this is a major issue! Its not the shift drum cam unless its broken in half. It might be the shift forks, Won't go into any gear? Is there spring pressure in the shifter or does it flop? Is the shifter TIGHT on the shift shaft? I think its time for a professional to look at it.

I can get my j1 to idle but when i open the throttle it stalls.the pistons in the carbs chatter (all 4) as soon as i open the throttle before it cuts out

Has the bike been setting up over winter or for a length of time over a couple weeks, with gas in the gas in the tank? If so, the ethanol additive to gas has caused the fuel to gum up and block carb jets and passages. My recommendation, if setting up is the case is to put a can of SeaFoam in the fuel tank, shake the bike back and forth to mix the fuel and SeaFoam. Start the bike and run at high idle for a few minutes. Shut it down and let set a couple hours and start and run at high idle again. Repeat this several times trying to accelerate. If it's a gum problem, it should clean itself up with one can of SeaFoam. If it doesn't, it could be an adjustment problem, or the carbs will need a manual cleaning.

Motor shuts off as soon as I start to accelerate.

Might be a fault in the side stand sensor, you cant go far with the side stand out, or if the sensor has not sensed the stand is up.
