HOW MUCH OIL DO A PUT IN MY KLX 250 AND HOW DO I CHECK THERE IS ENOUGH (NO DIP STICK) AS YOU CAN SEE I AM NEW TO BIKING

if has sight glass, top up till onfull line, start and recheck on flat geound, if dip stick, same thing but on dip stick

Locate the dipstick tube to check the trans oil and remove the dip stick and put the oil down the tube. Replace the dip stick and check the level when you think you have enough in the tranny. Hope this helps.

Capacity:
1.3L (when filter is not removed)
1.4L (when filter is removed)
1.5L (when engine is completely dry)
Level:
Between upper and lower levels

Your O-ring is gone on dipstick

1. Oil plug gasket 2. clutch cover gasket, 3. Center case leaking
4. TOO much oil in crankcase, 5. Shift shaft seal. 6 Counter shaft seal.

Fill until the oil dip stick indicates proper level ... no more and no less.

There is always a dip stick in the crank case to check the oil level. On the dip stick you will find two marks for Min and Max oil levels. The oil should never be more than the Max level and never below the Min level.

Install 1.5 quarts. Check dip stick.
Add .5 quart until full indication on dip stick.

Look for the oil dip stick. Now look under underneath the area of bike where the dip stick is. You'll see a round disc with a bolt. That is the drain plug. Now you found it lets begin.
1. Warm the bike up.
2. Turn bike off.
3. Take oil dip stick out.
4. Have your oil pan under the bike
5.. Unbolt drain plug. A spring and screen will come out keep them together.
6. After oil finished draining. Make sure Screen is clean before replacing back in with the spring.
7. Start the bolt in by hand then finish with tightening with socket.
8. Put oil dip stick back in. you're ready to go!
