Yz426 with a wr426 stator,flywheel but no spark??

I have a 1999 wr400 frame & wiring for a street kit with a 2001 yz426 motor that I put a 2001 wr426 flywheel, stator & cdi unit on. Now I have no spark (I have ran this bike on the street for a with the 400 motor & then I changed motors). Is it the timing and if so what is the best way to fix this?

Thanks,
Marcie

SOURCE: 83 yamaha tt600e no spark

The CDI unit on the 83 model (TT600) is located under the fuel tank and suffers from heat
exposure. The solution is to get specialist help to open up the sealed CDI unit and repair/
replace internal connections (which are readily available electronic components)
When you re-install it put some heat shielding material there to protect it and this
will be OK as repair will utilise stronger parts,I think.
Later models have the CDI unit moved to the head-stem area.

(this info from a Non-mechanic who remembers what was done to his TT in Australia, many years
ago)

SOURCE: yz125 no spark

G'day i am a . YZ 125 j ...lets see now! You could perform these tests yourself.Check your plug CAP,if in doubt replace it with a new one. Take the below ohm figures and see if they match up. Pulse coil: white/blue and white/red= 310 ohms. low speed coil: Green/white and Black/red= 900 ohms. high speed coil: Green/blue and black= 55 ohms. hope this has helped in some way to helping you solve your problem. If it has please leave feed back.Ride hard , see ya,Tabbycat

SOURCE: please help I have a 1980's model susuki dr 250

I have a 83 DR 250 and i'm not getting enough voltage to create a spark, all I can suggest is that you check your battery and make sure its at full flavour. Check and see if you are getting any voltage prior to the ignition coil (should be 18-35v). If you suspect battery then try clutching it as the alternator moving faster might give you enough to get her going. Also check all your connections and earths. Earth wires are often overlooked and can cause you just as many problems as the actives. So give that a go and get back to me mate. Cheers

Yzf 426f stator wiring into a 01 wr 426f cdi ?

Hi,

please be sure to use any corresponding wiring diagram from the manufacturer in order to guide you in your repair. If you continue to struggle with the machine wiring, please work with a mobile mechanic who can give you another perspective.

Thank you.

How do I change the yamaha WR426 spark plug

Normally you have to find it first. duh
Well for start, open your rider seat, at the base of tank should be a big bolt holding the tank to you bike frame, remove bolt, try to lift tank up slowly to make sure all rubber hoses and connections can be released, once done that, lift tank up high enough and proped it up to access your spark plugs wire, hold wires by their boots and pull them off one at a time, meaning, pull one boot off, remove spark plug, put a new one, put boot on, go to next one until all are replaced, make sure all boots are tightly fitted, slowly lower the tank and connect all that have been disconnected, bolt the tank to frame make sure it sits tght, close seat and you are ready again.

Need to replace my stator on 99 zr arctic cat

Remove rewind then flywheel.Lower rewind housing bolt may be a little tough to get out being its on the bottom.Flywheel needs to removed with standard 3-bolt puller and may make a load pop when comes loose.Housing around stator needs to be removed,4 allen bolts hold this in place.Do not install flywheel until stator housing is bolted back in place. After you removed everything be sure to check and see if hood harness was routed under rewind housing because in the past a few had the wires smashed from engine pinching wires between stator housing and main frame.Best place to buy stator from is Dennis Kirk,$213,just did one on my 99 ZL600.

KMX WONT START

try replacing spark plug 1st set at proper gap. next take plug cap off wire by unscrewing it from wire. hold 1/4" from motor and crank. if none, trim 1/8" off wire and retry. your pulser coil could be out. get multimeter, get service manual, find resistance reading, unplug stator/pulser coil plug(S) follow manual test procedure for testing stator coil, and pulser. check ign coil, make sure grounded to frame, clean rust, check resistance readings(manual) or test system w/ known good unit. lastly check wiring for continuity if no fire.
