Check with a multi tester for voltage coming through the ignition switch lead wires + to switch wire - to ground you shoul get 12volt or higher, with the switch off you should have one live (feed from battery ), on you should have 2 or 3 in and out feed (possibly 2 out one for ignition one for light curuit), or disconnect the switch and check for continuity (12v battery wire and a bulb if you dont have a multi tester between each pin on the switch plug when turned on you should get a curcuit when on.
So I figured out it was the fuse each time I turn the key the fuse eventually blows. Originally I thought it was a 7 amp and those blew right away. Then I saw somewhere else it's a 10 amp, so I tried that and it still blew as well. Any help is appreciated!
If your main fuse keep blowing check for damaged / burnt or crossed wiring or sticking starter .Also that the battery is correctly fitted , tightened and the correct terminals on the correct post. Check the main eart from the battery to ground is good and connected correctly.

could be one of a few things. Most likely fuel related. 1) carb blocked main jet (whip it out n clean it) 2) air filter clogged up or split (remove spark plug and if it is black there is too much fuel and either the airfilter is blocked up or the choke is stuck on, if it is very white there is too much air getting infrom either a split air filter or leaking inlet pipe) 3) change spark plug.

It was the fuel. We drained to fuel and replaced with some fresh and let it run for a while.

have you checked the spark plug? take it out and lay it on the engine touching a metal part and kick the bike you should see it sparking if not then replace the spark plug
if thats not the problem then give the carb a clean and check the air filter that its not blocked
2 stroke bikes need three things to work air spark and fuel as long as you have these it will work
hope this helps

I found the frayed wires, and was able to get the scooter to turn over without blowing the fuse. I replaced the old gas with new, however it still won't start. I'm not sure what else to do.
