I have the 2001 Audi TT quattro 1.8T an I am getting an intermitant warning coming on whilst driving. The abs and the traction control lights both come on. When I stop, turn the car off and then turn it back on again the warning lights go off and then reappear sometimes when I have been driving for a while.
Your yaw sensor is going. You need VAGCOM to figure out whether it's your longitudinal or lateral yaw sensor. ABS does not trigger traction control light.Your yaw sensor is going. Yellow circle, with triangle and exclamation mark – The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) dashboard light flashes if the ESP or traction control is activated whilst driving. If ESP or traction control has been switched off, it will light up continuously. If ESP or traction control is not turned off and the warning light illuminates continuously, it indicates a problem and malfunction with either ESP or traction control.
Unless there is a problem in the ABS system the light will never come on except when the key is first turned on to show that it does indeed work along with all other warning lights.
Hi, Sounds like your abs braking system is at fault.
The light would normally flicker when traction (tyres loosing grip with the road) is lost, Then as regained the light should go back out, however you have a sensor on each wheel either one of those may have packed in or your main ABS control unit under the bonnet may be at fault or on the way out. Also it may be your traction control switch that could be at fault.
Hope this helps.
When your ABS light comes on it means you have no ABS only normal braking. Also a traction light will come on at the same time becaust it is directly linked to the ABS to change torque before a wheel slips. You need to have it hooked up to a professional scanner, because there are many different possibilities of what is wrong with the ABS/TCS system. hope this helps!!!
You need to have your brakes inspected by a professional. The lights indicate that ABS and traction control are not working...although brakes will work without these features, a humming noise can indicate more problems to come.
