I recommend you to use 15w- 40
even though it is diesel engine oil it is the best oil for car because it is the most refined oil available
it is about 3 dollars more than 10W-30 which is factory recommended for the car

You got the wrong car pal

It is a 2000 Lincoln LS
    all lincoln cars use 5w-20

oh ok, but i think 15-w40 is still a better oil

2003 Lincolin Ls says Apply ((P)) on dash and dings about every 10-15 seconds

That is a possible fault in the
Electronic Parking Brake System

You will need a dealer or repair shop
to check for Trouble codes

The codes will be mfg specific, not
generic you could get at the parts store

They will start with the letters B,C or U

2000 lincoln ls v8 nocking noise in frout center of motor runs rough

this is sounding like you might have a blown head gasket. you can check for this in a few ways the simplist first. pull the oil filler cap off of the valve cover and check for a milky white or cream color residue on the underside of the cap. pull the oil dip stick and check for abnormally high oil level on the stick.you can also look in the overflow bottle to see if there are air bubbles being manufactured in the fluid. the surest way to tell what is going on is to do a compression test on the motor this will tell you exactly where the head gasket has been blown. not good nes im afraid this kind of repair will cost several hundred dollars.

Iam having trouble with 2 codes 2107 2110

I have a 2003 V6 lincolin LS with codes 2107/2110, I've changed everything but the plugs and the cam postion sensors. make sure you use Iridum spark plugs, with the gap at .051. Once I did this and replaced the cam sensors the car runs great no wench light. At 150 miles and 3 days,so far with no problems. It took me about 6 months to get it right. And I don't want anyone to go through what I did. I hope This helps.

What kind of motor oil would work best in my 2000 lincoln ls?

The brand will depend will always change depending on who you ask. The weight that you should be using is 5W30. I personally use Mobile brand and use the Mobile Clean 5000 if you are wanting to use conventional motor oil and Mobile 1 if you are wanting to use synthetic. I personally would suggest the Mobile 1 5W30 if I were you. Let me know if you have further questions. Thanks for using FixYa!
