Apart from trading it in for a new model you could try changing the back wheels for the front wheels and see if this cures the wobble.the car battery is fine if its starting ok so leave that well alone as no doubt the firestone have a special on the batteries where the mechanic gets so many cans of beer for each battery sold .forget the service engine light thats their to make you take vehicle to dealer to have it done to put the light out ,change the battery in the key fob but be warned this vehicle has to be put on the dealer diagnostic machine to reset ,another wheeze to keep the dealers in business so use another battery with the wires on to hook into contacts on the key fob before you change the battery ,save about 80 euros + labour .now the ABS light ??? thinking ,could be lots of things but here you may need a local mechanic to have a look for you as the cause could be sensor on a wheel or the wheel bearing as the modern motor uses a gray paste on the back of the wheel bearing instead of a metal ring with teeth and this paste/paint can get damaged by a twig or plastic bag getting caught behind the bearing rubbing it off ,i have the teashirt for this so dont ask.see how you get on and if you need anything else just answer the reply

Are your rims 6 hole? Does the car have aftermarket rims? It is a common mistake to put 114.3 x 6 rims on it when the factory size is a (rare) 115.0 x 6.

If you have 114.3 wheels (very common), they can be tightened very slowly, alternating lug nuts to get rid of the wobble for the meantime until you can get 115.0 rims.

2005 chevy uplander ABS control module wire harness where is it located, what does it look like? if damaged will it prevent vehicle from starting

This will not prevent the car from starting - will cause ABS light, traction control light (if equipped) and maybe weird low speed braking. Usually the fault of the lights is a bad wheel bearing/hub very common.

The EBCM (Electronic Brake Control Module) is mounted to the BPMV (Brake Pressure Modulator Valve) located at the left front (lower) engine compartment.

It looks like a (thick) flat black box.

I have a Chevy 2006 Uplander when I put it in gear it shakes

Can you elaborate on the shake? A "Shake" could be low idle, vacuum leak, low fuel pressure, timing, misfire, cylinder compression, torque converter clutch or another engine or transmission related failure. How does the vehicle idle and rev in park? Is the engine light on and if so were any codes pulled? how is the maintenance? How does the engine oil and transmission fluid look? Are the recommended services up to date? An over due tune up and fuel service can cause these issues. a restricted transmission filter and low or worn out transmission fluid will cause transmission problems. Please write back but provide all the info you can. I'm not there so I need to see what you see. Also give me an idea of what you want. Some people are not able to perform diagnostics and only want a quick fix, if possible. Other are more experienced and want a schematic or helpful diagnostic tips.

Aveo 2006 has an Engine light ON and Car is shaking when trying accelerate. Car is not been able to pick up the speed with putting full pressure on the accelerator.

Yeah, it's worth it. Probably a coil pack. But this is a guess. When you take it to a garage and they diagnose it. They tell you this is the fix. They are liable.

Service abs system light comes on all the time. both front wheel bearings have been replaced, abs light stays on.

i had the same problem with my 2005 chevy uplander. the ABS lights kept coming on. The fix for me was... I had a damaged and old battery(the original battery). If your still under warranty or not I would suggest you check this out by using a new battery to see if this is your solution.

Have a 2006 chevy Uplander and check engine light comes on and off, also the ABS light comes on and off. hade both systems checked and everything checked out fine. also the auto start works sometimes and...

I have a 2006 chevy uplander that had an abs light coming on so i took it to my local GM dealer to have it diagnosed and they had told me that the hub and bearing assembly needed to be changed, so i changed it and the light still came on. Upon further investigation i came to discover that the abs wires were frayed in two locations and that the connecters were loose i tightened the connecters and replaced the wires and now my abs light does not come on. I also discovered that i did not need a new hub and bearing assembly after all.

You can reset the computer by turning the key to the on position. Don't start the engine. Press the gas pedal to the floor and release it all the way. Press all the way to the floor and release. Press all the way to the floor and release. After the third time it will reset the computer.
PLEASE RATE! Check the 4 thumbs up.
Thanks! Have a GREAT DAY!

Can you explain how the gas cap can cause a service engine light to come on in a 2006 chevy uplander with a 3.5L engine.

The gas tank and emissions are under vaccum and a loose/bad seal or missing gas cap allows the vacuum to leak out when the pcm detects irregular vacuum it will turn the service engine light on.

2006 Chevrolet Uplander Parking Lights Stay On

My 2006 Uplander would not shut off the parking lights. I came here for a solution. I saw the answer here, actually the question, and I used the key fob to lock the vehicle. The lights went off. That was a temporary solve. Now, is this a "glitch" or a "feature"?
