Have a 2008 PT Crusier. Its missing when at an idle. Also it starts missing when taking off. However it smooths out when ruinning with no missing. The machine shows multiple miss fires, and I have had it tuned up with new wires. My mechanic says it has to have a burnt valve that will only get worse. Also he says it wil need to have the timming belt change since it has 91K on it. The ruff prices to fix is 1200-1500. Does this problem sound right?

In regards to your timing belt being replaced, it's best that you have it done per manufacturers specifications.
As for your misfiring, there are many factors that can cause this issue. If you are mechanically inclined, I recommend you begin a compression test and cylinder leakage test. One of these tests will help you determine if you have a bad / bend valve.

SOURCE: 2001 PT crusier sunroof will not close, motor must

The motor is gone and the switch could be gone too.

I would replace both to be on the safe side.
The switch is not that expensive. The motor is more expensve.

SOURCE: How do you change antifreeze

You have a drain plug on the botton of the engine. Your filer is right there as well.
Changing the coolant there is a plug on the botton of the ratiator. Lefts side (Driver) right on the radiator lower tank. Make sure you refill coolant correctly. Get all the air out of the system Run the heater at full blast.

2008 PT Crusier will not start. The coil is not sending power to the spark plugs. Brand New Coil, all fuses are good. New Camshaft sensor.... Still hunting the problem, any suggestions....

check that the immobiliser is operational. Check that power is getting to the coil ( ign fuse ). Check power from run position on the ignition switch to coil.

Changed the timing belt and camshaft sensor on a 2005 pt crusier pretty sure its timed correctly because the car seems to run fine and revs high with no problems although it still throws P0016 code even...

What the P0016 code means. P0016 is the OBD-II generic code indicating that the camshaft position sensor for bank 1 does not correlate to the signal from the crankshaft position sensor. The camshaft timing is out of position due to the timing chain jumped teeth. The camshaft phaser is out of position due to problems with phaser.
