Hello, If you have a battery charger, throw them on charge overnight. No more than a 3amp trickle charge. If you can charge one battery, and you can jump the truck by hooking the other battery to jumper cables, then you have identified the problem as low/dead batteries.

And yes, PSD's make a lot of noise on start up. A difference you will notice between the cumming and the psd engine at start-up is that the psd cranks longer. This is due to the fact that the fuel injectors on the psd are actuated by oil pressure.

Thanks

Starves for fuel on acceleration and wont idle right

Gas problem, likely. Have your fuel pressure tested. Fuel pump or filter may be the problem.

Car wont start after its been garaged for a year

fuel pump probably locked up, or the fuel lines have deteriorated , or you have a blown fuse or relay.

Popping sound while accelator

Well, if there was a mechanical engine problem, it would be happening when the engine is idling along with running down the road. Does the noise happen when you are parked and the engine is at idle ?
Sounds more like a fuel or ignition problem.
IE - if the distributor cap was faulty the spark could be going to the wrong plugs, if the fuel pressure was suddenly low the engine would be starving for fuel, etc.

Hi it sounds like your high pressure pump needs replacing. the pump can be repaired but you will have to find someone who knows about it, i fix a lot of them before. there is a spring that pushes out the piston in the pump so it can compress the fuel that spring losses its ability to extract the piston back out. i have pictures of one if anyone wants to see

I have a 1988 dodge ram it wont start it will start on primer then shuts off i replaced the fuel pump and filter but still wont start could it be air locked can you help me please thank-you william

Sounds like it's fuel starved. It will be TBI, there's another fuel filter bolted to the chassis, about mid way, drivers side (looks like a small metal can, with to hose fittings). Any fuel leaks anywhere, rusted out fuel or fuel return lines? Air starved? Replace your air filter. A bad coil will cause this too.

Fuel leak, car will not stay started

Please fix the fuel leak before anything else!! The fuel pressure is definitely being lowered by the leak and the leak itself is a serious fire hazard. If the fuel pressure is too low, the engine will starve and shut off.
