I have a 1989 toyota pickup v 6 4x4. I believe it

I have a 1989 toyota pickup v 6 4x4. I believe it should have 255/75r/15 tires stock, I have 31/10.5/15 tires since I bought it. The speedometer reads fast ( going 65 reads 70) I have the larger number tooth speedometer gear in the transmission. Toyota only has two. Any help. I've tried two different soeedometers, they both read that way.

I went from 225/75/R15 stock tires to 31/10.5/R15 tires and speedo reads 50 when actually going 54.7 (according to tiresize.com). Toyota says speedo gear on my 86 is 18 to 6 ratio. I could be wrong (wouldn't be the first time) but I think they have more than two choices.

What motor came stock in a 1989 chevrolet

The eighth digit in the VIN number on the trucks dash (view from outside the truck on the drivers side) is the engine code. I believe M is a 350 and P is a 305.

I have a 90 toyota pickup i noticed that i lose power when i shift to 5th gear, it is lifted 4x4 when i went home there was gear fluid leaking out somewhere under from the transfer case please help thanks

Old cars do bad things, transfer case leaks don't slow em down unless the fluild is low or gone and been run dry a few times. Lifted means to me big tires The stock gear ratio and the bigger tires can overgear the truck. Fifth gear is now too high. Or this problem just accored and it was pulling high gear and now even thoght the tires are fully inflated and the brakes aren't dragging anf the engine is not missing and A bubba tunr-up hasn't set the timing too low or too high , Maybe the exhaust is clogged up or the converter (exhaust) is. Auto tranny not likly to be 5 speed so a manuel is likely, Is the clutch slipping? Lots of blnks open on you question V6 or 4, Size of tires and when dir the problem start afer you raised it? Blocks alot more wind raised and the stock setup with stock tires is geared super tall as in there ann't no more.

My 1989 Toyota Van LE 4wd started squeaking when I turn left

Actually this sounds more like your left tire is rubbing against the tire well, this was relatively common amongst these models, as I have one myself that did that while turning right, I solved it by hammering out the dent that was in the well. Hope this helped GL!
