I don't know if this will help you, but I once owned a 1990 model which had a moisture problem with the distributor cap. Everytime I drove in the rain the truck's motor would shut down. Check for moisture or wear in distributor components, especially the cap.
CHECK WHETHER YOU DO NOT LOOSE COOLANT AND THE LEVEL ON THE EXPANSION TANK DROPS AND THE LEVEL SENSOR ACTIVATED. ON THE OTHER HAND IT IS ALSO THE SENSOR OF COOLANT LEVEL WON'T WORK.
clearly sounds like fuel starvation, I would be looking at the throttle body, they need servicing every couple of years, they fill up with like grease and block tick over hole.....
your level is to low the coolent sensor can't read steam so it turns on the light... or your sensor is bad
or you have a short in the pigtail to the sensor
My car starts fine. Goes into reverse drive but starts off in 3rd so if anyone knows whats going on here let me no my e-mail is [email protected] also my dash displays break light circuit.
If you do not have the code written in your owners manual or on some other piece of material you got with the purchase of your car then the only way to get the code is to remove the radio, check the serial number and call BMW with that serial number. Good luck!
