2000 chevy ck 2500 5.7L 4x4

I replaced the fuel pump about 6 months ago along with the filter. damp rainy weather makes it mist. plugs and wires are good. cap and button are good. Now the truck will struggle to start when it finally does it acts like its not getting gas or spark. cutting out and dies. It acts like it is electrical but not sure. looking for help. The fuel pump seems to be ok. not sure how to check it but can hear it running.

Cranks but won;t start, is it the fuel pump?

number one thing to do , are you getting spark , pull a plug wire at the plug side and put the screw driver in the hole in the wire off and hold it to ground have someone crank it over a few seconds and see if you have spark , if you are getting spark then you are not getting fuel you have to ck you fuel pressure should be around 40 lbs , but some cars vary but it is pretty high you can ck online for the right pressure , also ck your air filter believe it or not I seen some cars not start because of a dirty air filter . let me know how you make out

P0452 Code on 1999 Sierra 5.3L Z71 Low Circut Voltage & Losing Fuel Pressure When First Running

Sounds like a TPS (throttle position sensor) problem. When encountering drivablity problems, start with cheapest parts first. The TPS and MAF ( mass airflow sensor) effect Fuel mapping (delivery). Replace Air filter often ( 40,000 miles) for good air flow. Also high humidity (rainy weather) combined with a dirty air filter can put MAF out of range. Also the MAP ( manifold absolute pressure) sensor should be checked. Along with regular air filter changes, I always add a can of B&G44K fuel additive to a full tank of fuel. This additive is the best on the market and should not be substituted. It will condition the fuel pump and the injectors. Also improvement in fuel economy. Do an OBDII test and delete any stored faults.

Get a fuel pressure gauge and measure on the fuel supply line on the rear of the inlet manifold. In my experience you need close to 4Bar while cranking. Priming pressure should be about 4.4Bar. This test will eliminate a variety of possible problems. I have had a variety of problems and found this very helpful.

For about 6 months my 91 lumina euro 3.1 Motor has been very hard to start in damp weather, it would even backfire a little bit. -- Once it starts it does fine. -- During the 6 months the car 'at times'...

It is possible you have bad spark plug wires. A good check would be to wait until it is dark out and open the hood then start the car and look under the hood to see if you have any arcing showing. If you do, replace the plug wires.

99 S-10 will not start in windy damp weather.

I would change all of it. Spark plug wires will leak under the high voltage w/o any outward signs. Unlikly fuel pump . Not effected by damp weather. If after all that and it still doesn't work, change the coil.
