If it will not hit with spraying starting fluid, that indicates that you have a no fire condition. Start at the spark plugs and work your way in from there. Wires, coil, crank trigger, fuse.
does it turn over and not fire up or not even turn over ?if doesnt turn over try a jump start if does turn over and not fire up i would check for spark at plugs as first step and work your way through the ignition system coil, distributer etc
this sounds like a computer issue or rotor issue- it could be the pick up in distributer electronic pick up in distributer- gets hot then signal won,t travel- cools down then o.k
