First place I would check are the battery terminals. Remove them and clean the posts, re-attach and tighten them. You can buy a tool for cleaning the posts at your local auto store.
It sounds like you have a blown head gasket, check your engine oil, take off your oil cap and if it is frothy around the cap and inside the head, you have a blown head gasket.
Take it back to where you got it and make them refund your purchase price. If they refuse and you finianced it go to them, There a law called "The Lemon Law" that makes it unlawful to sell something like that. Sounds like you sure bought one. Don't do anything to it just get hold of the place where you bought it and tell them to come get their junk out of your yard!

Did you check the fuse for the trailer tow adapter parking lamps ? This is a separate fuse from the truck's parking lamps. Fuse #10 is the Trailer Tow parking lamps ( via the trailer tow parking lamp relay ) and this is the same fuse for the trailer tow reversing lamps ( via the trailer tow reversing lamp relay ).
If you did not get an owners manual with your truck ( purchased used ), you can download one from Ford : https://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenance/owners_manuals/default.asp
Your battery is dying. It is also possible that its the alternator but if the battery is original it is almost certainly the battery and it will likely do it again until the battery is replaced. The clicking sound you heard is the starter solenoid trying to start the car (but failing). The reason it started later is because the internal temperature of the battery had risen a enough to allow the solenoid to "pull in" and start the car. Any autoparts store can test the battery/alternater for free and confirm which is the problem.
PossibleTemp Sensor as it Determines for ECM to go full Rich in cold weather If That Doesnt Correct it. I Would Just Get a Block Heater then it wont Sence COLD temp and go Full RICH.
