Locked keys in a chevy colorado, manual locks can I use a slim Jim?

What year is the truck ? What makes you think it's shorting out the BCM ? What problems are you having ? Does the vehicle have power windows ?

Did you call a locksmith,or call dealer and ask for parts and see if they know how.

Best bet is to call a lock smith and have him get in the car for you. Later model cars are designed to prevent slim jim from working in mast cases. The cost of the locksmith will be small compared to the possible damage and having to replace broken window, linkage or wiring in the door.

Align the slim jim with the lock and push it downwards towards the keyhole.When you see the lock start to move, pull the slim jim upward slowly until the door unlocks.

Put the slim jim in the wedge within the window, align it with the lock and then push down on it towards the keyhole-this can get you back in the car.

it depends if your door has the antitheft plate,most cars have them now,its just a small metal plate inside the door to stop a slim Jim,if you door has a lock pin you can hook with banding that's the way to get in,but you will need a wedge to open the top of the door just a few mm then take the banding fold it in half and push it in the gap then slide one half forward to open the banding hook the lock pin then close the banding and pop the lock ok.

if you have verical lock you can use a slim jim.but if your lock are horusutil you will need a differnt toll.

ok well first off do you know anyone that has a truck close to the same year if so try using there key it should work to open your door and on how to use a slim jim depends on if you have power locks or not if so it's a bit harder than if you don't but you put it between the window and the rubber seal and slip it under the door locking bar ether up and forword or back if its a manual lock and if not you haft to move the slim about 2 to 5 inches from the lock and do the same good luck
