When I was trying to remove my Belkin TuneBase FM from my 12 volt power outlet (the one directly under the HVAC fan speed control, which usually houses the cigarette lighter) on my 2001 Toyota Camry LE, the friction washer pulled the socket out about an inch. Since then, the outlet has not functioned at all. The light around it still illuminate, however the outlet doesnt work. I don't think the problem is a blown fuse, as the other outlet still works. Suggestions?
Check for voltage with test light suspect that wire at back of outlet pulled off
Testimonial: "Yeah, that was the issue. I had to pull off the black plastic faceplate that borders the radio and HVAC control unit (it's held in with metal clips bent into a triangular shape, made to provide a bit of resistance, but they pop in and out with no damage) to get to it. Thanks for the quick response, sorry about the late reply. Thanks again!"
