check the pressure in all the tires write each one down then go to the driversside door and look for a tag that will have the pressure in each tire and size of the recommended tires and pressure dont exceed that pressure or tire size and dont be less than whats recommended if the tires are in specifications then take back to the tire dealer and have them replace the tpm that they damaged
This is refering to the tire pressure monitoring system. Either a sensor is damaged or not being received, or you need to check for proper inflation in all of your 4 tires. It is a saftey feature that was required in all cars sold in california at least...not sure about other states...since 2009.
No.Because the tire pressure monitor is looking for a frequency from the sensors and does not see it.There for the light will stay on constantly. If you have a light that is constantly on and the tire pressures are all fine. Then you need to relearn the tire pressure monitor to make the light go off.Unless you have a bad sensor. There is a special tool for relearning the tire pressure monitor. It also has to be put in learn mode to perform this.Which is done with your keyless entry fob or in your case you apply the parking brake turn the key on and turn the light switch from off to park 4 times within 4 seconds. The horn will chirp twice.this means the system is in learn mode. This is where the special tool comes in.you need to go to a repair shop that has a tool for relearning. If the sensors are all good the light will go off.Hope this has helped.Good luck.
32 psi is the usualrecommended pressure but you may have to fill the tires to 35 psi to make the TPM system reset. That's how most systems recognize that you have serviced the tires. Most TPM systems will indicate low tire pressure around 26-28 psi.
TPM THAT MEANS TEMPOMAT CRUISE CONTROL.CHECK TO SEE IF BRAKE LIGHTS WORK.IF NO CHECK BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH FUSE. IF FUSE OKAY BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH FAULTY OR YOU HAVE OPEN WIRE FROM BRAKE SWITCH TO FUSE BOX.SEE YOUR BRAKE SWITCH DEACTIVATES THE CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM.PROBLEMS WITH BRAKE PEDAL POSITION SWITCH WILL SET OFF CRUISE CONTROL WARNING LIGHT.IF BRAKE SWITCH OKAY.THE DEALERSHIP HAS TO DIAGNOSIS AND FIX PROBLEM.
All you should need to do is check and set all tire pressures and make sure to check the spare also, after all tires are set with air you then drive a few blocks and the light should reset if the light does not reset then you will need to find out which wheel has a bad air pressure sensor, this is done with a tool that is put on the valve stem or a scan tool to see which tire is showing the wrong pressure, hope this helps.
It is possible that one of the sensors was damaged when they replaced the tires. If this occurred, the light will remain lit. Otherwise, after a pressure change the light will automatically turnoff after driving several minutes above 25MPH.
There is also a Nissan TPM reset tool which is designed to turn off the TPM warning light in 2003 and newer Nissan vehicles that have the TPM reset connector. Check your owner's manual to see if your vehicle has the connector. You can find the reset tool online for about $25.
