I think if you put a pry bar behind the knuckle and give it a quick bump it will just pop out it has a ring on the inside that holds it in. Just uses pressure to keep it in place I will look in a few but I am sure that is what to do.

take a pry bar to the side of the tranny and pry the cv out, there is a clip on the shaft of the axle on the inside of the tranny

It is held in by a spring ring. You need a good strong pry bar and you position it between the hub of the axel and the case of the trans and **** hard pulling it out. It sometimes is seated well, but keep trying. It will fight you sometimes.

Assuming you have the spindle off - you need a pry bar between the inner mount and the transaxle. Give it a bit of a snap as it is held in with a lock ring around the spline. Note the gap - when replacing it - pop it in fairly well till you feel the snap ring lock back into position. If you are replacing it - inspect the new one - the lock ring should already be installed.
