I still get the power lite on the dash when I press the rear defrost sw. I don't know if this switched "on" lite in the sw is separately powered off the fuse box or elsewhere? The rear defrost still isn't working so I don't know if it's the main fuse in the fuse box or not!

There are a couple quick checks you can do. I would remove the cables that connect to the heater grid in the rear window. First start by checking for continuity across the grid. Essentially turn your multi-meter onto the continuity setting and touch each connection location on the grid itself. Then test for power and ground.
I will be honest with you though. In most cases the issue is in the heater grid. A lot of the time the only way to fix it is to replace the rear window.
I'm and ASE Master tech, but I also worked for safelite for 4 years.
Btw the connections will be under the plastic C pillar covers.
Let me know if you still need the diagram after reading this and attempting this simple test.
Just my two cents.

Your power feed to the window switch panel is a big wire loom that goes through the driver door. Check the connection at the door jamb. I've seen the plug slowly come apart just from the door opening and closing. You should have a power window fuse at the fuse block under the dash as well. The power to all the windows goes to the main switch at the driver door first then goes to the rest of the windows. Hope this helps.

you may want to check the wires between the door and the body....they have been known to break also
