My first thought for a solution of your problem is plug wires. You have replaced some common problem areas for this situation but the plug wires are the most susceptible for causing a miss after engine is warmed up. Try replacing the spark plug wires and let me know what happens.

If you have a wheel puller(steering wheel) then the rest is easy. If you don't it's best to grab a repair manual because there are certain little tricks that should be known before attemting to do this.
SOURCE: How much freon to put in the 1990 chevrolet c1500?
As long as you are using gauges, just make sure that the high side pressure is not out of the ballpark high... check cabin temp frequently and depending on ambient temp keep that reasonable as well (134 is not quite as efficient as r12 so don';t look for polar temps...you will blow it up before you ever get there.) 210-230 is average high side pressure, if I remember correctly. I've charged hundreds of units and except for very few, I couldn't tell you how much freon was used (unless using a charge station) Just following what I mentioned, I only had a problem with one (had a blocked condenser from the factory...so rare i actually remember it) Stay on the conservative side and you will be fine.
