Suspect aternator V belt needs tightened and/ or replaced.

The light is dimly lit when you measure 14V?
It is a V belt, yes then with engine off if you can turn the alternator pulley by hand and it slips on the belt, then it is not tight enough.

Apparently the 93 Nissan has a "bulb check" relay that is wire OR'd with the batt fault indicator. Locate and remove to see if problem clears.

Testimonial: "It's not the alternator belt, I put a new one on it plus the vehicle charging voltage is over 14 volts . I'm thinking it's something in wiring but not sure on that ."

Check your battery fuse mine just also did that and it was the fuse under the hood. Location of fuse box is by the battery and it should be the big fuse close to the middle

SOURCE: issue with dash lights dimming while driving,

If the battery and alternator tested fine. I would have the charging system rechecked when engine is hot and at high rpm's. This way the checks are being done as if you were driving and driving for a long time. Alternators can work fine when cold but weaken when hot or stop working. This problem is not rare but only is seen occassionly. Unless it was checked at an electrical shop the average shop doesn't run these tests for they don't see the problem often enough to automaticly run them at all times. Good luck and let me know how you make out.

My nissan tail lights are stayin on even when ignition is off and do not get brighter when i hit on the break what could cause this

I believe you might find that it is the brake lights on and not the tail lights (since they don't get brighter when the brakes are pushed). The cause of your problem is probably the brake light switch. I'm not positive about Nissan, but on most vehicles it is located up under the dash where the brake pedal can activate it. Follow the brake pedal arm up from the pad under the dash and you should find a switch that is supposed to activate when you move the pedal away from it.
Hope this helps...just my best guess

1990 buick no start turn key dash lights go out and all is dead

When you say "turn key dash lights go out and all is dead", do the lights come back on when you turn the key back to "off"?
With key off, try turning on your headlights- are they bright?
Flip to high beams-do they get brighter?
**If lights get dim while trying this, it's the battery-(dead/needs charged or replaced-which may have been caused by a bad alternator).
Leave lights on, now turn your ignition switch to "on"-do the lights get dim or go out?
Try and start the car-anything change?
If the lights were fine until you tried to start the car, more than likely your battery terminals need cleaning/tightening.
The lights should at least get dim when you try and start the car but only while the starter turns over: when the engine is running your lights (as well as all your other electrics) are powered by the alternator.
If you do all this and lights are okay all through this procedure, your problem is probably in your starter circuit. (Starter relay, ignition/key switch)

Hope this helps.

This is your Alternator. Check the Battery Cables for Tightness in Addition.
