That means check the coolant in the radiator. IF it is not low, the sensor might need to be replaced.

SOURCE: Mercedes SLK230 overfilling oil warning

5.6 liters here in the UK, could be a faulty sensor but try the oil first, easy enough to drain, jack up the rear passenger side so it gets all the oil out when draining.

SOURCE: Low coolant warning light stays on.

Bad coolant level sensor in the tank. Look around the bottom of the reservoir and find a plug connection, unplug it and see if the light goes out. I think the tank has to be replaced dont think you get the sensor out. You could try by take the tank off and see if it will come out of tank but I dont think it will.

try holding the lock and unlock button down for a few seconds at the same time. That is how most work.

Trouble with car

Phantom coolant level warning which turned out to be erroneous. No problem found and no catastrophic meltdown. Just the inconvenience of having to take it into the dealer to be checked.
