I recently had the battery changed in my 2012 Malibu. now the radio doesn't work at all. everything is black. How do I fix this?

F you don't have the code the radio s looking for. Go to a dealer with proof of ownership. They can assist.

try using a scan tool to reset the cpu program in the ECM
removing a battery corrupts that program
it controls everything you mentioned including the immobilizer
as for the radio ,you will need a code to enter as it is the radio anti theft system that has operated when the battery was remove d

Look for a SEARCH BUTTON , Press button, when stations found , they will be on each station selector button, to keep station on any button , press button , then station is locked to that button

Take it back to the body shop an have them reset everything . Nothing you can do .
Invalidate All
This procedure will erase all keyless entry transmitters from memory.
Install a scan tool.
Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF.
With the scan tool, select Body.
Select Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR).
Select Module Setup.
Select Program Key Fobs.
Select Invalidate All.
Follow the scan tool on screen instructions.

You will need to see a dealer to unlock and reset the codes need to recover the radio. Possible power lose?

you have to get the code from the dealer to unlock it.

There is a panel on the passengers side of the car, I pulled the fuse used for OnStar because I dont use it. I didn see any labling on mine but it was the fuse located second from the top on the left side, but you have to be looking at it side ways because of the way the fuse box is orientated.
And then put it in the socket all the way to the right second from the bottom, again looking at it sideways. NOTE: My car is a 2006 Malibu LT
