When your truck is shifting like you mentioned you need to check the battery cables. Better yet just replace the cables. Even a small amount of corrosion can cause a break down in the flow of current to the trans computer and cause erratic shifting. New cables should fix you right up. If this does not take care you need to start looking into "noise" from the alternator wire or other electrical interferrence. Another possible solution is to install a Hapi Box which clears interferrence in the wire from the TPS to the trans computer. It worked on my '02 until the cables corroded. I stripped back about 6" and found a mess in there. Good luck. (oh, Dodge will seel you a new trans to fix this problem. Be ware.)
SOURCE: 2006 dodge ram 2500 4x4 diesel replace brake pads front and back
Straight forward job. Remove wheels, remove 2 caliper bolts per wheel, check bolts, and bushings for wear/corrosion and lubricate, remove calipers, remove brake pads, push caliper pistons into calipers, replace anti-rattle clips, put new pads in, put caliper and bolts in, put wheels on. Start truck and press brake pedal several times to take up slack and you're done.

SOURCE: What should the high and low side freon pressure
The re-fill kit for the r-134 will only fit on one of the sides. You want to fill the low pressure side, but be sure you have a gauge not to overfill. he high pressure will be the larger side. But the gauge will only fit on one of the inlets for safety precautions.
