What does code error 98 mean? - 1992 Cadillac DeVille

Look on each wheel and locate the sensors and the wiring. Make sure there are no disconnected or broken wires.

Updating your answer with error code will be helpful. Get your ride check for error code at any auto part shop if not done yet. The question you asked does not mean anything if you do not mention the error code in the question.

The P0440 means Evaporative Emission Control System, hope it can help you.

Hi there:
Code 98 is one hard fault and means that car computer saying it cannot execute it's programming due to internal errors in either the computer hardware or software. You would need to contact Ford to determine if a reflash could resolve the issue, but I doubt it would.



If you want payless or need to get it fixed, I would see if you could find a used computer at a salvage yard.



This device is located under the passenger's seat or else under the dash or possibly in the engine compartment just in front of the drive.

Please let us know the exact error code.. there is no P1700 and P1300 are not an error codes on 90 kia sportage.
