SO slowed the truck down and noticed my truck was making the noise. As i slowed down the noise became quieter at a almost stop. About 7 miles on down the road it did it again. Same thing I slowed down the noise started getting quiet, then a clunk noise. then it was all quiet again. not sure I want to drive it and mess something else up. have checked wheel bearings. but they seem good. any suggestions?

SOURCE: Front differential making a winding noise and ends in a loud thump.
sounds like you need your transfer case looked at and repaired.....that the only thing i can think of...hope it helps :)
SOURCE: noise in transfer case or front differential
i had the same problem.. it is the vacuum switch on the transfer case. the switch is stuck open and supplying vacuum to the vacuum diaphram under the battery box. the switch is located on the upper side of the transfer case ( not the front differential) which is located driver side of the transmission. the switch cost me about $25.00. I replaced it myself. if you do your own mechanical work you can get it done just be patient.
SOURCE: breaking at slow speed there is a bad bearing o scrunching noise.
Yeah , You are correct. The wheel bearing is very common problem at low speed , like in a parking lot trying to park, I would take to local mechanic to have the vehcile checked out.
The repair is not very hard and no to labor intensive a few hours at most.
