SOURCE: heating doesnt work - no hot air in chrysler grand voyager

(check water/ antifreeze level first, make sure it's full, low water can cause it not to heat properly) it could possibly be either the thermostat- fairly cheap and easy to fix, great for DIY's- if that doesn't fix it, it could be heater core.

SOURCE: Does 2000 Chrysler Grand Voyager have a Pollen Filter / Cabin Air

In 2000 the only Grand Voyager that was equiped with a cabin air filter was the 6 cylinder 3.3 liter Sport model.

Cabin filters are generally found in one of two locations: under the hood, or under the dash board.

SOURCE: i have a 2000 cry/voyager, my heater is blowing out cold air

Hi Joseph,
This looks like a classic Air lock scenario.
Try parking on level ground, when cold remove coolant filler cap, start engine and leave to idle.
Have plenty of warm water available, when engine reaches operating temp it may start making funny noises and then boil over (Keep clear of Coolant filler) when subsided top up with warm water and wait as it may do it again.
Keep your heater on hot and blower on full when you are happy no bubbles or gurgling and heat coming from blower top up replace cap and YahOO! your'e warm again.
Good Luck!

Check to see that the blend door linkage is hooked up. Doubtful it is heater core, as you had heat to one side and not the other. Check coolant control valve linkage, verify it is moving the coolant valve from off to on when you switch temperature from cold to hot. Verify you have coolant flow to the heater core by feeling the heater hoses where they enter the firewall. If all checks out well, then look at hvac controls individually.

Heater slow to work

this sounds normal in very cold conditions! The air is never hot when you first start the car in any car, until the engine warms up, then the heater air will also warm. You could check your anti-freeze level for the first thing. If you don't have enough anti-freeze, it won't run through your heater to give you the proper heat

your vehicle has two heater cores in it one front and one rear, there will be two heater hoses running back the van under the passenger side of van, after van is run and engine is at operating temp, find the hoses and see if they are both hot or if one is hot and one is not.those hoses are the temperature that will come out your rear heater.sometimes people get a leak in the rear and just cut and plug those hoses, and they do the same with the two metal lines that have freon in for the rear A/C.

My 1996 grand voyager is only blowing cold air, thermostast ok

Check operation of heater coolant control valve, and it's associated remote control mechanism.
Check that both inlet and return heater hose is equally warm, as this indicates coolant flow through the heater core.
If no coolant flow:-
Check cooling system is correctly filled, taking care to bleed off any air locks from the system as necessary (with heater coolant valve open);
Check heater core is not blocked.
