Winston, you will have to take it in and have scanned for fault codes to determine why Traction Control is doing this, may ba faulty sensor or wheel bearing.
There are 3 place it could be, but on mine it is on the passenger side of the car, were yoiu put your feet. there is a panel that comes of under where your radio and such is
TWO FUSEBOXES, ONE UNDER THE HOOD, ONE IN PASSENGER COMPARTMENT, NEAR THE DRIVERS DOOR. THE FUSE MAY HAVE A STRANGE LABEL, CHECK EVERY FUSE WITH A TESTER, THERE ARE TEST POINTS ON EACH FUSE, SHOULD BE POWER ON BOTH SIDES OF THE FUSE W/ IGNITION SWITCH ON.
TAKE VECHICLE TO AUTO ZONE OR ADVANCE AUTO PARTS THEY WILL CODE SCAN YOUR VECHICLE FREE.SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT COMING ON COULD MEAN EVAPORATIVE LEAK OR CYLINDER MISFIRE.BUT AUTO ZONE WILL SCAN IT AND TELL YOU WHAT TROUBLE CODE YOU ARE GETTING.
You will need to have the radio reset or checked out at the dealer.Ther could be a cd stuck in it.Or the radio/CD player may have be on when the battery power got to low.
I would get all the electrical schematics and then look for problems like blown fuses affecting the areas you are describing. Then systematically troubleshoot the wiring. Simple. Now, I am looking for the mentioned schematics on the web. I just bought (2010-01-28) a 2005 Malibu Maxx, and can't wait to have it ready for pickup in 2 days...
i think it stands for traction control. most cars with that say ETC which stands for electronic traction control. if you have a manual for the car it should say what it is.
There is a 11mm plug on the passenger side of the trans near the axle shaft. Remove that with the car level, trans hot, and engine idling. Fluid should just come out of there when its full.
