Top bolt if it's a stud and bushing type gets tightened until the threads run out - usually where the bushings squash pretty good. the nut on top will stop turning. Other fasteners tighten to about 50 lbs or so depending on the size of the bolt or nut. small bolts like 5/16, 3/8, 10mm shaft size get about 30 lbs. Torque is all about the size of the bolt ( the diameter) . Large fasteners like 1/2 in. and above get 50 to 80 lbs. . hope this was helpful

Looking for torque spec for bolts holding the rear shocks on the rear of a 2006 Dodge Sprinter 3500

Hello acadiamaine,

If the shock absorber bolt to the axle is a 14mmX1.5 it should be torqued to 110 Nm if it is a 12mmX1.5 bolt torque it to 70 Nm.

The bolt to the frame side should be torqued to 140 Nm if the axle bolt is 14mmX1.5 and 80 Nm if the axle bolt is 12mmX1.5.

I hope this helps.

Jerry
