I have a 1999 chevy conversion van 1500 express that starts but turns right off changed fuel pump and relay but still the same looked at dashboard shows security light blinks on and off but when starts for the secound thwe light blinks on and off

any codes with problem ---if no codes check fuel pressure at rail/ spray into throttle body with ether/start fluid if start than fuel issue no start check egr valve for clog and or carbon problem also check fuses and relays

Has your Check Engine or Service Engine Soon light come on? If so, there is a code stored in your van's onboard computer. Have that code read and interpreted at any large auto parts store, and either arrange to have the problem repaired or repost with the code number. If no code is present, we have a whole new ball game.

the high humidity (water) is attacking your electrical starting system, whens the last time you changed your spark plug wires , distributor cap & rotor ? how about your fuel & air filters ? cleaned your battery terminals ? try it , it will help !!!!!!!!!

There is not a fuel pump reset on a Chevrolet. There is a fuel pump fuse and a fuel pump relay in the under hood fuse box on the passenger side fender well.

Start with fuel system. Listen for fuel pump humm at fuel tank No humm check wiring to pump for power. Then check for spark at plugs and wires. Remove wire from coil and hold near engine and see arch when you crank. No arch. Replace ignition Modular inside distributor cap or cap or rotor

Well if theres power going to the relay but not out, then you need a new relay. If theres power in and out of the relay, you might need a new fuel pump. The electric fuel pumps inside the tank are actually lubricated by the fuel as it pumps it, and if it runs dry long enough, it can burn out the pump

Check your battery cables and all fuses. Did you disconnect the battery when you performed the repairs? If everything checks out ok then disconnect the battery for 15 minutes and reconnect and try again. If nothing try jumpstarting the vehicle. Something might have killed the Bat.
