The blinker relay is attached to the driver's right side of the steering post, under the dash, above the brake pedal. The OEM is dayglo green, and that is probably why it is difficult to recognize. It is held in place with two plastic posts which are pushed through two holes in a metal bracket. Use a screw driver of other device to gently push the device away from the metal bracket. The relay, attached to the plug, will drop, making it eqsier to replace. How you secure it after you replace it with a new (black) relay is unknown.

Thanks so much! I know nothing about cars and with you description and pics I was able to change this blinker relay on my wife's car. Had to get a little creative laying upside-down in the seat but I got er! :-D What a stupid spot to have that. Who designs these cars?? LOL

    Thanks again!

Thanks so much for you description and pics! I don't know anything about cars but I was able to get this blinker relay switched out on my wife's car. I can honestly say that's the first time I laid upside-down in a car seat with my head on the floor :-D Who designs these cars any ways???
    Thanks again!

It was extremely helpful. I was able to fix my turn signal, and I have never worked on my car by myself. The instructions were perfect. Thank you. Also, I used zip ties to secure the new relay. It was a bit tricky, but it worked.

In addition to mikeworde386's much appreciated answer, I had to remove a plastic protective flap first before I could remove the relay of my Cavelier 2000. The flap was mounted with a torx screw on rear (driver) side, the front (motor) side plastic pin hangs in a hole in an iron strip.

After dismounting the relay with the wire plug following mikeworde386's post, I could not remove the relay from the plug by hand. It felt like blocked after 15 years. But applying some force on all 4 sides by inserting a screwdriver (all metal isolated (!)) between the plug and the relay, worked for me.

There is a great tip about securing the new relay, if the new one lacks plastic mounting posts. A post by Jon, Pottsville, PA, see: 2001 cavalier flasher for turn signal

Where is the Turn signal relay located in my 2007 Chevy Aveo.

There are a few things that can make it look like a bad relay. Most times it's a bulb that has burned-out. Or your blinker unit has gone bad. A Chilton/Haynes repair manual, available at your local auto parts store will tell you where your relays are. But I'd check the first 2 items first. Or check your fuse that controls the turn signals.

My a/c comp and engine cooling fan are not working it seems like they both quit at the same time is there a sensor that opperates both on a 2001 chevy cavalier

there is a fan relay, and an AC relay that both turn the fan on at certain times, including when the AC is on. a coolant temp sensor tells the computer (ECM) to turn on the fan but only when the engine reaches a certain temp. an electronic component locator can show you where these sensors and relays are located. they are not very expensive. your local auto parts store can look that up for you.

What is the location of the turn signal relay on a 2002 chevy cavalier

I believe it's under the dash behind the ashtray. It's kinda hard to get to. Put on the flashers and listen.

2002 chevrolet cavalier, my brake lights, front and rear turn signals and hazard lights are not working

Your Hazard switch is bad. There were a bunch that had faulty soldering connections, and would fail prematurely. This circuit also competes with the turn signals, and the brake lights. Replace the switch with an aftermarket replacement, and it should fix your issue.
