91 mighty max hard starting then runs great, always hard starting

if it's not on the sticker under the hood then look in a Chiltons manual for your truck.

If your vehicle is fuel injected, Which I suspect that it is; It is HIGHLY DISCOURAGED to pump the accelerator pedal while starting--- This can cause a fuel flooding condition.

crutchfield.com has these sizes for about all the cars ever made. ebay also has this information, when you do a search for car speakers look at the left side of the page.

you have water/coolant entering the combustion chamber. either the head is cracked or you have blown a head gasket.

Please confirm which engine your truck has; 3.0 V6?

Next time when cold and it will not start remove a spark plug or two and see if the engines flooded. If so there are two things that come to mind; 1, worn injectors, leaking as engine sits with time causing difficult starts 2: bad oxygen sensor, if failed engines tend to run rich and the ECU may have your injectors pump heavy amounts of fuel to keep from running lean; often times you'll see poor fuel MPG if O2 sensor failed.

I recently replaced the ECU in my 91 mighty max. If you remove the glove box you will see it on the right hand side.

Try changing your fuel filter, like on all fuel injection and electronic ignition problems the shade tree has to use the process of elimination. This is one of the cheapest.

have you checked for engine vacuum leak and tested or checked airflow meter
