Hi from uk after supporting car on stand or blocks ? remove wheel then you will see x head screwsx2 remove screws then release handbrake drum should now rotate freely you may need to lightly but firmly tap the drum off the hub if you have an old vac ? use it to vac the dust from shoes and drum ? if your shoes are ok ? then make sure the auto adjuster is free and clean? if your h/brake travel is high and the reason for checking brakes? then notch up auto adjuster a couple of clicks at atime whilst keep trying the drum fits so the shoes are just enabling rotation of drum by hand then press b/pedal a cople of times to centralise shoes to drum ? if drum still rotates freely with no binding on shoes ? then re assemble carry out same proceedure on other side ? do not adjust brake cable! unless you do adjustment as above you may/will find your h/brake is better /less travel ? also your foot brake will feel better and less travel ? hope this helps you but if you req further info/assistance by all means come back to board best wishes from lancashire uk

Had no auto matic adjusting lever can I put new brake shoes without replacing adjusting lever on 1994 Hyundia excel rear brake driver side

The rear brake drums are drum brakes on the 94 excel. The Excel uses the front brakes the most, so are you sure you need to replace the rear brakes?

MY ACCENT REAR NEARSIDE DOOR WILL NOT UNLOCK, HOW DO i REMOVE THE INNER PANEL WITH THE DOOR LOCKED . OR GET THE DOOR OPEN

It wont be pretty but examine other rear door and be familiar with retaining fixings,ie door grab handle , window winder , and any screw fixings .
Remove what you can and maybe the rear seat also (sorry) The window winder removal is easier than you think ! It's held on by a horse shoe shaped spring clip, remove with a simple shoe lace or narrow piece of cloth pulled in the opposite direction of the horse shoe clip.(don't loose) This is about as much as I can help you , after this it's a tug and pull (against snap fixxings) upward lifting motion of the panel. Good Luck

2002 hyundai accent needs brakes

hi from uk to renew front disc(rotors) and brake pads on the accent are not beyond the mech minded diy er and can easilly be done if you follow instructions on the haynes manual etc and would save$$$$s in dealer charges ? if you diy as for the rear brakes they are drum brakes with shoes that are auto adjust but again can be done by diy with help of manual ? as for cost of parts ? you can obtain/price of all parts from good auto shop/superstore also a manual ? then by all means obtain a quote ? for local garage to do the brakes with cost of labour and parts ? then consider option of diy? i am sure you will be tempted/inspired if you browse the work involved hope this helps? contact again if you feel lucky? will be glad to assist if you get stuck? or req info ? merry xmas from uk
