Location of CHT sensor

Location of CHT sensor. It is located at the back of the passenger side cylinder head close to where the intake manifold and head meet.It will have a YE/LG and GY/RD wires to it.

Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) Sensor -4.6L and 5.4L Removal

1. Remove the intake manifold; refer to Section 303-01B .

1. Remove the cylinder head temperature (CHT) sensor.
   1. Disconnect the connector.
   1. Remove the CHT sensor.

5.4 Only uses CHT sensor for CTS.

it doesnt have one you will need to check the thermostat and CHT ( cylinder head temp )

CHT -cylinder head temperature sensor located under the intake manifold.you have to remove intake manifold to replace sensor its in the cylinder head.

If sensor voltage is above 4.6V, key on eng off
replace sensor,if not check for ground

CHT- Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor

I do not know the exact location
On my Lincoln LS, it is in the intake side of
the cyl head & not really too accessible

They are used instead of a Coolant Temp
Sensor and will also be one of 2 Fail Safes
that can occur. The other is the Throttle Body
Motor (TACM) ETC Failsafe

I wouldn't rush off to replace it,without knowing
how to test it.

I will check here in awhile & let you know if I
can shed some light on it.

Obviously a professional scan tool is always
the place to start.

ECT is front of the intake on pass side, CHT is LT head(dr. side) under intake manifold....hope this is what you needed....GL
