My problem:
The rear blower motor quit running on a 2004 1500 Suburban, so I only have cold air up front.
What I have tried:
Checked the fuses under the hood, and on the side panel...all checked ok.
I removed the rear paneling in the back to get to the motor and several other switches...tested the motor and it ran fine.
I pulled the control panel from above in the front and went to the junkyard and tried two alternate control switches above....neither worked, so I feel my switch is ok. When I move it to aux, the control in the middle turns on and I cannot even get the air to blow turning the fan up on that switch either.
Can someone please help me out on this. I am so lost and don't have extra money to take it to a repair shop right now.
On the wires that run into the blower control that I swapped with 2 others for testing purposes that didn't work, only the brown wire with white stripe made my tester light up, so I only have one hot wire it seems going into that control. The brown wire with the white stripe is the only wire that turns the light on, even with the control hooked up and in various positions.

You will have a blower motor resistor that controls power and the speeds to the blower motor it will be by the blower motor and is cheap new.
My rear blower quit and i found a wire at a connection bad it was located driverside front kicker panel i removed it found a connector the orange wire was getting a bad connection hopefully this will help

nevermind - Found it - it's the giant plastic piece that covers the hood release! And splicing this orange wire worked for me- THANKS

Answer 3 worked for me.
Same thing happened to me. Rear blower just stopped working after the transmission was rebuilt. I had nothing to lose. I disconnected the battery for about half an hour and the rear blower now works after reconnecting. Still have a problem though; rear air will only blow cold from ceiling vents, even if I turn the heat up to 90 deg F and select floor vents - still blows cold from ceiling. Same thing with rear controls. I was going to disconnect battery again but instead, I started car (after about an hour) and the rear air now works fine with driver, or auxiliary controls in back seat. I guess the control module had to re-set. If this happens again, I guess I'll replace it.
This is not a joke. try this easy test. I had the same problem, AC up front, but none in the rear. I live in Florida and my passenger were not happy. I checked all the electrical stuff, but they seemed OK.Months ago I read a thread about disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. I figured I had nothing to loose so I diconnected the Battery for 3 minutes and reconnected it. THE REAR AC NOW WORKS PERFECTLY.
Disconnect the battery for 3 to 5 minutes and reconnect it. This procedure must have reset the controller or the computer.
I usually don't make any comments but I just had to this time. What he said works. I just disconnected the battery and it started to blow with the rear climate control. I wasted time in changing the resistor, checking the blower and fuses. It stopped right after I replaced the AC Compressor but it was working for awhile. It just stopped for an unknown reason. Hope it works like it did for me. Thanks again everyone for the assistance.
