Sensor removal on top of driver's side shock absorber

I need to know how to remove the sensor that is located on top of my drivers side shock, so i can replace the front shock? The sensor is located on a plastic cylinder that sits on top of the threaded portion of the shock. I have tried just gently pulling up on the sensor and that did not work.

SOURCE: How to replace 2001 Jeep Cherokee radiator

There is a removable radiator support brace at the top. There are 4 nuts that hold it on. One of them also holds the battery retainer on so you need to remove that as well. You also need to remove the coolant recovery bottle transfer hose from the brace. It is sometimes a good idea to remove the fans too as they are close to the rad and they can damage the rad if you touch the fans.If I forgot something just post me back..

SOURCE: i have another question

Did you support the vehicle on a lift and run it, with wheels engaged?
Since you have changed all the usual suspects, Have you checked the hub bearings? It could be that, or, something stupid like a backing plate hitting a rotor.
Regarding the cat/o2 sensor thing. Cats do go bad, so do o2 sensors but, generally a code for an o2 sensor indicates a problem elsewhere, causing a lean or rich condition in the exhaust pipe, beyond the parameters of the o2 sensor. PS: check warranty on cat. generally it runs longer than many other components.

Where is crank shaft sensor located

it depends on what motor you have most common is the v6 3.3 and 3.8 liter but the voyager has a 4 cylinder i thing a 2.4liter its going to on the block near the transmisson if its the v6 look on the drivers side remove the air filter housing (3 10mm bolts on radiator core support 2 on top 1 sideways facing the steering wheel and loosen 2 hose clamps with flat head screw driver or i think 8 mm socket)take off all the air filter housing parts than look down towards the firewall down by the rack and pinion you can see the connector its kinda flat black in color with a blue or red lock tab that slides side to side release that lock tab and then unplug it.It is held in by 1 10mm bolt and pulls out straight upmake sure the new sensor has a (usually green) spacer on the end of the sensor and leave it on the sensor.(it will remove itself and keeps the sensor from hitting the crankshaft)your best bet is go and buy a new sensor and look at it so you know what your looking for when trying to locate the old one the wiring harness will run along the top of the transmission follow that harness towards the firewall and it will lead you to the sensor.

1996 - 2006 Hyundai Elantra Shock Absorber and Strut Assembly - Front, Passenger Side, KYB GR-2/EXCEL-G, Twin tube, Strut Assembly $63
Of course this is only the cartridge, you have to transfer the spring, and the top mount of the existing strut. You need a pair of coil spring compressor to do the job. The basic procedure to replace a strut is:
Remove the top nuts that secure the strut assembly to the frame mount inside the engine compartment. Do not remove the center nut.
Mark the lower strut mounting location on the hub for installation reference. The alignment will be close if the new strut is installed in the same position.
Remove the bolts that hold the strut assembly to the hub.
Remove the strut assembly from the vehicle.
Mark the top mount for installation reference. Using a side mounted spring compressor, compress the spring and remove the top nut and retaining washer. Pull strut assembly out from the bottom of spring.
Slide the new strut assembly up into the spring and reposition the top mount onto the spring in the same position that it was removed. Install the retaining washer and top nut.
Tighten the top nut to the manufacturer's specifications and carefully remove the spring compressor.
Place the strut assembly back into the vehicle.

Rear shock absorbers

they are simple to change however you will need a spring compressor.

1 jack car and use axle stands to support the car.
2 remove wheel
3 behind drum or disc break assembly you will see shock absorber assembly
5 remover lower but (it may be very tight due to corrosion and time).
6 undo top nut located in boot around the top of the wheel arch. This may require the removal of some interior trim.
7 compress spring using spring compressor (use device instructions as these vary from type to type)
8 Undo top nut on the shock absorber assembly, remover cap spring and other rubbers.

Reinstalling is basically the instructs in reverse.

Good luck!
