Rear axle bearing replacement

How do I replace the inner and outer bearings on a rear axle of a 2006 Chevy Colorado, and adjust the endplay so it doesn't whine anymore? The truck has had a hard life so far, carrying 2000 lbs daily, and only did 70000 miles.

Thanks, I'll try this this coming weekend when I've got some spare time :P

Whinning out passengers side window sounds like coming rear

Axle and bearing issues can be hard to pinpoint. I assume you mean they replaced the outer bearings. There are still inner bearings called carrier bearings as well as an inner and outer pinion bearing.

I would take it back and tell them they have not fixed it right yet.
