2007 Dodge Ram 3500 6.7 cummins just turned 69000 miles and perform service light came on. Truck was serviced about 60K How do I reset the warning light??

3.Press gas pedal 2 times within 10secs.
4.Turn key off
"Perform Service" system warning in the overhead is for the crankcase filter, located under the plastic faux valve cover. It should be replaced at least every 67,500 miles. Be sure you have replaced this before you reset the warning. This filter is part of the EGR and once it is full, it could cause pressure to build resulting in an oil leak. Totally different from regular oil change service requirements.
TIP: Buy the filter from a cummins parts facility (over the road truck service center) and save 50% at a minimum over what the Dodge Dealerships are charging for the filter. I was quoted $150 through Dodge, I paid $62 from Cummins.
If you live in CA, the dealership must perforne that service for free. It's in your manual. :) I was quoted 700 until I pointed that out.
