What would cause the front brakes to get so hot it pops the tire.

possibly:
-siezed caliper
-collapsed brake hose, restricting fluid flow causing opposite brake to work harder building excess heat

Put on new front rotor and pads on 96 ram 2500 diesel 4x2 and they drag bad....they went on tight.. now they get really hot what do I do? they are the right size I double checked

if you have double checked to make sure everything is on right, then, i would suspect that the caliper is hanging up. make sure the piston on the caliper will go in and out ok. you should have compressed the piston to allow room for the caliper and brakes to fit over the rotor. may need to replace the caliper

Replaced front brake pads, tried to test drive the van and it won't mve. Replaced the left front caliper and rotor still won't move, whats wrong?

how hard was it to install the new pads in the caliper over the rotors,if it was a very tight fit then you may have the incorrect pads for the application.you replaced only the left side caliper but don`t say why only that one.the right caliper could be hanging up,or did the brake flex hose get twisted when you put things back together this can cause the brakes to stay on as the fluid won`t be allowed to return allowing the caliper to go to its rest position unlocking the brakes.

Emergency brake sticking.....i think. Mazda B4000 pickup

Are you sure it is the emergency brakes?Or is it a caliper stuck, because it is bad,or the caliper brake hose is stopped up?Jack the wheels up,one at a time, and try to see if they will turn by hand. This will tell you if it is front,or rear.If it is the emergency brake, then the cable from the front,to the bake,is most likely the problem,it is rusted ,and frayed, and stuck, you will have to disconnect it at the rear, from the brakes. If this helps, let us know,If it is the calipers,in the front, the wheels will not turn by hand.Brake loose the caliper bleed screw, and if the caliper turns the wheel loose, then the brake hose is bad,if it does not ,then the caliper is bad on that wheel.

89 4x4 dodge ramcharger will lock up front left brake

Had this problem on gm trucks. Replaced brake hose to caliper and fixed it. The inner core has failed and the outer core will fill and put pressure on the caliper.

Front calibers keep locking up on my 96 dodge dakota 5.2

I would replace the rubber brake hoses at the calipers. They get damaged internally when the calipers are left hanging while replacing pads. I've seen too many garages and shops do it not knowing what is going on inside the hose.

Right front wheel/disc brake? heat up

most likely a brake line causing problem. it is either the rubber hose or caliper sticking. the rubber hose will collapse and cause pressure to stay on the caliper
