ABS lights is on with code c0040 and c0041 right wheel speed control sensor and circuit, shold I clean first harness and the wire before changing the sensor itself?Where is located the sensor and harness in order to find the connector and clean it?? Thanks
Will be located near the wheel hub. As long as there is no physical damage I would guess you will be replacing the sensor
Thanks but i solved the problem cleaning the connector, it was 8 years of durty And dusty so after i cleaned it i runned the CAR And no more ABS light on!i knew it And i will suggest anyone before changing sensor or wiring to clean it first because 70% of the Times it is that the reason why the ABS light is on!

Check magnet strip attached to back side of wheel bearing ...gm notorious for delamination or simply falling apart

You will have to check ABS codes to determine what the problem is.

Gm has tech service bulitens on this issue.First the abs sensors can and should be removed, inspect the sensor mounting surface for rust (clean w/ sandpaper) insp the sensor (note the sensor may break w/ trying to remove so be gentlel) if all looks ok reassemble and test drive. if unwanted abs still persists both hub bearings should be replaced (call your dealer and ask if a special policy exsits for this condition) usually no abs code w/ be present Good luck Ray..

A faulty VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) or related wiring can cause both of your problems, trans and ABS. If the computer doesn't know the vehicle is moving, then it won't shift the trans. If the ABS controller sees wheel speed, but not vehicle speed, it will turn on the ABS light. The VSS is located in the rear transfer case housing. But remember, it may be the VSS, related wiring, a faulty speedo buffer (usually located in the dashboard), ECM, or even the reluctor on the transfer case output shaft. You may want to have a shop scan "data stream", or even have them diagnose the problem.

Its possible that right wheel speed sensor is dropping out early making the truck think that wheel is locking up. That will activate the ABS and let the brake go on the right wheel which will make the vehicle pull slightly left. The only way to know for sure is to watch the wheel speeds on a scanner and see which one is drpping out first and replacing that speed sensor/bearing assembly.
good Luck

Ok, i took a few Tips all over the internet but if you see my question you can see that i already suggested to myself to clean it first.
PROBABLE SOLUTION: code c0040 And 0041 ABS light on,before anything do it yourself, detouch the front wheel And you can see righ behind the hub a connector ,one way comes from inside ( do not pull, risk to disconnect the wire) And the other way you see clear coming from the engine side.Detouch the connector And clean it inside in both connectors, male And female, let it stay And dry up from the cleaning stuff you used than connect the two parts again, remount the wheel And pray that the reason why the light was on was because the wire And connector was durty!
This is reccomended before replacing sensor or wire!
