I parked it in my garage the next day it wouldnt start i was told it was the diesel pump changed that and still not starting.it wants to start but just wont fire.any ideas thanks
Being a diesel, and changing the pump, you de pressurized the system. . Sometimes near the fuel filter they install a pump, or on the side of the motor near the fuel line. . It's like an old coleman stove. There should be a rod to pump the pressure back into the system. You may want to look at that route. If the truck ran after the fuel pump was installed and you let it sit a day and won't start, I would re check the tightness of the bolts and filters. Sounds like you have air in the system. Remember diesels run on pressure. Good luck let me know if this helps you
it was running the day i put it away.then next morning it wouldnt fire.told it was the d/pump changed it and it was doing the same.
Do you see a diesel hand pump under the hood? If so, pump it until it gets hard to pump. Then make sure to screw the pump knob back in before trying to start it again. Have a look and see if you can find such a pump
hi ive just been told the wiring burnt out and its been wired up again could somthing have shut off to sto the fuel getting through theres no fuel there
If the wiring was burned out, you should look for the reason for that first. You need to find that pump I mentioned. Pump fuel back into the system. Your fuel filter may be empty as well. , but you need to find this pump. This will bring fuel back into the system. If you don't prime it, you could burn out your new pump.

SOURCE: hilux ln130 wont start with key but will crash start
if it is automatic transmission try to start it in neutral, and see what happend, but if it come whit manual transmision, then check the cluth switch, you can by pass the switch and try to start it, if it works then replace the sw, but if not the look to see if there is a starter relay and replace it, most of this come wiht starter relay and they fail.

Sounds like the old nikasil problem.Remove all of the spark plugs and squirt oil down each bore, replace plugs and she should fire up.

NO the problem most likely is your carb. draining down or accelerator pump not working.

check the feed on the back of the alternator (live), then check the engine earth if the truck has been lifted or raised the earth will be poor. try running an earth fron the exhaust studs to a chassis member.

One thing I forgot to mention. The pump may have a small hole in the center of the cap. When you push the pump inward, put your thumb over it and when you're pulling in back out release your thumb. That's the only way that pump works. If that doesn't work, you will have to try bleeding the system right at the fuel injectors. That is a last resort , but works 99% of the time. Good luck keep me informed
