How can I reset the service now message on the dash of a VW Passat 2006?
2 options depending on your displays .
Press and hold the service wrench button with the ignition off. While still holding the button, turn your ignition to "on" (but don't start the car). Press the Min clock button and then release the wrench button.
With key off press and hold the 0.0 button on the cluster. With your other hand turn the key to the on position , while still holding 0.0 button, press the minute button for 1 second and you will see the service reset.

You may be able to do this by holding down the tripmeter button then turn on the ignition keep it down for about 20 seconds or if unsure hold all the buttons down on the speedo face whilst doing the above.
