I have a 2008 Chevy Impala SS with a 5.3L V8. I am looking for the throttle postion sensor, but have not been able to find it. Can you tell me where it is located on the engine application?

I suspect this is located inside the air cleaner, is this correct?

The throttle position sensor is located on the throttle shaft. It would not be in the air cleaner.

SOURCE: on a 2006 chevy impala it tells you to tighten the gas cap

There is no sensor for a loose gas cap. What is happening is that the evaporative emission system is sensing a "Large Leak". Usually code p0455. The computer sees this as the most probable cause is a loose gas cap depending on several factors it looks at. You would need to clear the code(s) and see if that was the problem. If the light comes back on, then you have a problem in the system that will not let it seal. Possible solenoid problem, leaking hose / line, etc.

Question moved to model category.

A wiring diagram is not going to help you. You need an auto electrician with a professional grade scan tool computer to check for DTCs and diagnose.

2008 Chevy Impala SS V8 , is making grinding noise during left turn and acelerating. Thought it was left hub bearing and had fix noise is still there. Any ideas?

sounds like something in the driveline. if wheel bearings are good it could be brake caliper making contact with rotor, axle bearings , or the transmission may be failing. if it does it worse in 1st gear then its more likely to be a transmission problem. check both sides though. often noise and vibration can travel from one side to the other. also check your tires for knots or cuts, flat spots or heavy brake dust on the wheel. tell me what you find. hope this helps.

Service Throttle Control

It sounds like these things are all related. When the a computer sees a problem in the Electronic throttle system, it will dissable traction control, and give the reduced engine power alert because the powertrain computer does not know the value of throttle postion.
Codes will need to be scanned in the computersto begin diagnosis.
