The light could still be running even while vehicle is off. My friend had the same problem on a chevy. Find the fuse to the light, take it out when you turn your car off. That will keep it from dying. Then get the light fixed. Until then, you will have the problem..

SOURCE: My 2009 Chevy Aveo Ran Outta Gas And Battery Died

Have you considered the alternator and battery? When the alternator isn't working, it wont charge the battery and supply proper amperage to the ecu, starter, coils etc which then the vehicle will not start, or if it does start it will not run proper. Try taking the alternator out and taking it to a local autozone for them to check it. Then you will determine the faulty equipment to replace.

Im experiencing a power problem. My battery light was on, n later my car wouldnt start. I had to have it boosted off but it died a mile later.

It appears that your alternator is not charging so that the battery has been totally discharged. A boost start got you going again but with no charging as you drive it was only a matter of time for any slight charge to be used up. To get you going again temporarily have another vehicle give you a boost but leave their vehicle connected for at least 15 minutes with their engine running at a fast idle. This shiuld give you about 1 hours running providing you dont turn off the engine. Have the alternator output checked by an auto electrician.

Battery light comes on and off car dies with a quick boost it run again then dies battery good

this is caused by a failing alternator. Kragen auto and Autozone tests these for free.

Sounds like something is drawing power from the battery when you are not driving your car. Check interior lights, head lights, brake lights, aftermarket stereo or trailer wiring.

Battery keeps dying on 2001 Ford Windstar.

Check your battery terminals make sure they are clean and corrosion free.
Also check all ...A-L-L courtesy lights in your car. there are some ceiling mounted lights that are passenger operated and may be on... Also check your glove compartment and consoles for lights.
Also check for charger cords... These have indicator lights and sometimes can drain the batt as well.
Also, under the hood, is a gravity activated lamp . Open the hood and make sure that it's going off and staying off as the hood closes...
Let me know if you find anything...

Starts with boost then car dies after 1 km and won't start

once the car is started it runs off the alternator .. so even if your battery is bad the alternator will still run the car .. so it looks lilke your alternator is bad .. when you jumped the car you charged the battery a little but not enough to keep it going since the alternator is not charging . if you hook up a charger overnight then you might be able to run it long enough to get somewhere (garage) .. try to drive when you dont need lights .. those will run down the battery in a short time .. if you have a volt meter then the battery should read about 13.8 to 14.2 volts when the alternator is working properly (car running) .. if it reads lower (like 12volts or less) then the alternator is not charging .. some auto parts stores will test your system free ..
