SOURCE: 2001 Toyota Celica GTS Clutch

i paid a friend to do it because it's a lot of work! if you haven't already treid to or got it done just know that when my friend did it; it took him like 8 hours (he'd never done one on a celica, but had done them on american cars) so if your not familiar with it... not a good idea to do alone. I watched him do most, but i'm not the best to talk to about it.(plus i have a 2000GT) Some of the parts that i can remember that he took out to get to the clutch were the front driver's side tire, the axel on the same side, ....some other parts in there....and ALSO parts on top...the intake also had to be taken out just to have enough room to do the job. parts are cheap...just ask for a clutch kit at auto zone or whatever. around $150. another random tid bit that might help is make sure to tighten the engine mounts really good afterwards or else it will jump around in there when you turn it on and cut it off. buy gear oil before you start as well because you will need to put some in after the new clutch is in. i will need to put the car on a real lift... you need a lot of space underneath and on top to work. and most likely two people. well hope some of this helped.

SOURCE: 85 Toyota Celica GT Headlights problem

Bad headlight switch or relay, or shorted wire. I would check the relay first.

SOURCE: i wanna know how to do, the headlight alignment

The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly, behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator support.

You will have vertical adjustment screws for each independent beam (separate highs and separate lows, but will be same screw if highs and lows are the same bulb). You may also have additional horizontal adjustment screws as well

Park your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same bulb, only do it for the lows)

For Low Beams: If the headlights read VOR, then aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall. If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.

For High Beams (if separate from low beams): Aim the headlight directly at the line you marked on the wall.

SOURCE: How to instal serpentine belt Toyota celica 2001

Removal & Installation

  1. Remove the right hand cover under the engine.
  2. Turn the drive belt tensioner clockwise to relieve tension on the belt.
  3. Remove the fan and generator V belt.
  4. Return the tensioner to the unloaded position.

NOTE When retracting the tensioner, turn it clockwise slowly in 3 sec. or more. Be sure not to apply force rapidly. After the tensioner is retracted all the way, do not apply force any more than necessary.

To install:
  1. Turn the drive belt tensioner clockwise
  2. Install the belt.
  3. Install the right hand cover under the engine.

Hello, I recently bought a 1990 Toyota Celica 4cyl 5spd manual. The clock and cigarette lighter worked when I bought it but days later they both stopped working, I have tried looking at the fuses but...

same thing with mine. except the clock only worked once. i took it out and bought another one out of a junkyard. these cars aren't easy to find in junkyards, mainly because they are invincible, but you could try checking around.

Bought this car used has 191,000 miles it had no owners manual when should the timeing chain be changed. Also there is a little round object on the left side dash next to the windsheld what it is for.

buy yourself an owners manual and a service manual, they are both very cheap on eBay. with that high mileage, you should also buy a carfax on it in hopes that it was already replaced at least once and was done at a dealer so there will be a record of it.

Help

Go to www.st162.net for some sections of the factory repair manual. I have not seen the owner's manual posted online anywhere as of yet. You can ask one of the owners if they will post it for you.
