It is on the side of the engine block below the exhaust manifold usually on the passenger side. It is a large bell shaped sensor with a one wire connector.
it should but recheck ur wires and plugs first a bad plug or wire can cause a knock ping problem and set off sensor also check the knock sensor connections at rear of engine----- the knock sensors for the 8 cyl are located under the intake manifold so its labor intensive to replace the sensor
It could be that your knock sensor circuit is working perfectly. You may have a knock that it is reading for long periods.
Try running it disconnected, and see if there is a clatter or knock when accelerating lightly.
I don't have a diagram but they are under your intake manifold. It's not to bad of a job. You don't have to remove the fuel rails or the injectors, they can come up with the intake. The #2 knock sensor is the one in the rear. I will suggest getting both of them and also the harness and do it all while you have it apart. I believe you will find that water has gotten down in the hole where the knock sensors are located. Make sure to clean it out very good with compressed air before you install your new knock sensors.
