I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500. I replaced a broken recirc door and thought my problem was resolved, but still it blows cold when I'm sitting still or going below 35 mph or when the outside temp is below 70. When I'm going faster, it blows warm air. I tried to add more freon because the guages indicated it was a little low, but it will not accept anymore. Any ideas?

SOURCE: 2002 caravan, heater problems

That was a common complaint a few years back, due to the fact that the heater core is a little too much higher than the engine, which requires that extra push it gets when engine RPM's increase. One thing I did do on my Caravan was remove my hoses to the heater core, and use a small external pump with hoses to circulate C.L.R. through my core for a while, then let it sit with CLR in the core overnight.Next day I circulated it through again, both ways by reversing hoses, and then re-attached hoses, bled air out of system, and notice quite an improvement in heat at idle. Once cleaned out, the heater core allowed coolant flow through it better at idle. If your stumped by explanation, take it to an automotive shop, or a Rad shop, and get a quote on flushing that core out for you. I recommend the CLR, but it might be too time consuming for you , but a flush will probably show some noticeable improvement.

SOURCE: 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 air conditioning

It sounds like your electronic vent actuator has gone bad, it's common to go bad and may need to be replaced. There are tinny gears that wear out and the vent actuator stops working. You can try this, turn the radio off first so you don't have to enter the reset code to activate your radio. Disconnect the battery for 30 seconds and reconnect it, if the actuator has lost it's base line and stuck in the open heat position, this will reset it, just make sure the setting is to cold and off before disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. If this does not work, then it's a bad actuator and Auto Zone should have the part you need and will have the step by step instructions for you to the job you self, I believe the dealer is a $415,00 repair cost for this. Good luck and keep me posted.

I replaced all my blend doors on my a/c unit. 2006 dodge ram diesel and it's still blowing warm air instead of cold when a/c is on.

Is the compressor engaging under the hood? What are the pressures? Have this checked first and make sure the blend door works that you installed.

I have a 2004 dodge ram 2500, the passenger window switches don't work

Not uncommon, the master window switch on the driver's door goes wonky. Mine had same problem (2003 1500 4.7L long cab) and simply replacing the master switch fixed both bad passenger switch intermittent problems. Easy swap, cheap at the dealer.

2004 dodge ram AC clicking

There is what is called a "blend door" that controls the flow of air to either the heater core for heat or the evaporator core for cold. It switches back and forth via the temp you request. The servo motor that controls this may eithere have gone bad or the the door could be in a bind. This involves getting to the top or sides of the plenum which air flows through. Removing the glove box door and compartment will assist in accessing this. I hope this helps

I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 with a cummins diesel that the heating system does not work. It only blows out cold air? I have replaced the thermostat but no improvement. Can you help? CK

I had a 2001 Dodge 3500 with the same issue. In my case, the "air blend door motor" failed. I had it fixed at a Dodge dealership - the motor itself was only about $125 but it cost another $900 for labor - they had to remove the dash & center dash console in order to get to the motor. It did fix the problem though.

I have the same problem. Solve. The passenger side vents on my Dodge ram 2004 deisel blows warm and the driver's side vents blows cold.

Sounds like you have a bad blend door actuator, or a bad control unit. Need to have it checked to find out which it is.

2003 Dodge Ram 4.7, AC barely blows except for floor vents that blow hard. Am told there are four vent actuators? Fuses all good in panel.

Could be a bad recirc door housing, or a bad mode door actuator. There are not four vent actuators. I do see alot of recirc door housings break, and cause the problem you describe.

Blower motor makes loud noise when on high

I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 with the same problem, vibrating blow fan when on high, pulled the blower fan out and found a piece of the hinge from the recirculation door and felt the recirculation door sitting up on the vent of its hinge. Crappy engineering once again.
